The Stock HP is more than enough for some riders.  But, Not for us.  So, we had to change the Exhaust.
 Without a doubt, Akrapovic is what nearly ALL Factory Riders use.  And for the R1, it's makes MONSTER POWER.
See the Dyno Below.  After installing it, we agree.  It's awesome. And LOUD. But, not a raspy Loud.  More of a Deep Throaty Loud.
Great news.  The Akrapovic Evo 2  Comes with a Bungle already on the system.  So, if you purchase a Wide Band
Commander, you don't need  To weld anything. You just simply Screw in the Wide Band 02 Sensor right into the exhaust.  Very Sweet.

OHLINS SHOCK 
   Once you have ridden a bike with an Ohlins Shock you will never want to ride with a  Stock Shock Again. 
   It's hard to explain how much better an Ohlins is over Stock.  Not until you actually try it will you understand.
  But, one customer explained it best.  You get the Ride of a Cadillac, and the Handling of a Porsche.  All in the Same
  Package.   The best of both worlds. Check out the Sweet Mtn. for the Remote Hydraulic Spring Pre-Load.
  This allows you to adjust the spring compression with the simple turn of the knob.   No more Spanner wrenches & Busted
  knuckels.  We installed the ALL NEW TTX SHOCK.  COMP. / REBOUND. Ride Height,  and Remote Spring Pre-load.  The  Works.  The Clearance was tight on the Akrapovic Exhaust, so we moved the RSA over about 2 inches to make room.
 
   

 

 

SATO Rear Sets
    All the guys at Our shop have Road Raced or do Currently Road Race.  So, we all Must have Reverse Shifting (GP Shift). 
    Once you have Tried  Reverse Shifting, you will never want to go back to standard Again.   
    So, we installed SATO Rear Sets.   These are Awesome Rear Sets  that allow BOTH Standard and Reverse Shift on the same kit
    This Kit is Fully Adjustable and Multi Piece Design.    Meaning, if you brake something, you don't have to buy a
    whole new Kit. Notice the Very Trick Cam style Linkage Allowing the rider to swap between Std. and Revere Shift.
These kits, are VERY, VERY adjustable.  Almost too many options.  Which is a good thing. 
SOME USEFUL INFORMATION TO NOTE:  When INSTALLING The Sato Rear Sets be sure to Make notes What your STOCK Settings are.  Meaning, How high off the your STOCK Foot pegs, and toe pieces are from the Ground, when your bike is level.  Preferably on a Race Stand.  That way, when you install the SATO Rear Sets, you have a good starting point to work with.
Your STOCK Rear Sets have approx. 5.5" between the Foot Peg and the Toe Pieces, C to C.  So, that is also something to note, when setting up your New Rear Sets. On Average, your toe piece is 3" - 3.5" lower then your foot pegs. But, that can vary depending on your personal preferences.     These Kits come with a Hydraulic Brake Switch to replace the stock one.

Dyno Jet Quick Shifter (DQS)
    Allows the Rider to shift the Bike At FULL Throttle and NO Clutch, with out stress to the Transmission.
    At the exact time the Rider Starts to shift the Bike, the Quick shifter detects the movement, and cuts the Fuel,
   For a Split Second allow the Transmission to unload as the rider completes the shift.
   A MUST for Racers or Hard Core Street Riders, who want to shave every second off their times.  Or Just have Fun.
  Works great for Stunt Riders as well, who don't want to worry about the clutch on the upshifts.
  Even if you Just ride on the STREET, you will LOVE this product.  It makes riding soo much more enjoyable.  Trust us.  It's Awsome.  The DQS  Plugs directly into the PCIIIusb Aux. port. and Includes CD to set kill time, and Min RPM's. preset by the Rider.  With STOCK REAR SETS you also need (3) Dyno Jet Shifter Rods, which we carry.
 OR  if you do the SATO Rear Sets, like WE Did,  you only need ONE ROD.  And Best of ALL... If you Have SATO REAR SETS.... You can use the Same Quickshifter with Standard OR GP Shift pattern.

BREMBO 19x18 Forged Master Cylinder w/ Reservoir, Hose, Brake Switch, and Bracket.
Yes. we know.  The Bike comes STOCK with a Brembo MC.  But, we can Promise you, It's NOT the same.
For starters its Cast Alum.  NOT Forged.  So it's weaker, and cheaper made.  2nd  it's too small of a piston diameter (16mm). 
3rd it's specified to Yamaha Specs. Cheaper parts to keep the cost down (about $45).   Meaning, it's Not even close to the quality, feel and performance of the Aftermarket Brembo Master Cylinders.  The Feel of the 19x18 Forged Master Cylinder is 2-3 times BETTER then the stock one.
We also installed the Brembo Micro  Switch, and billet bracket shown in the Small pictures below to activate the Brake Lights.
Because the STOCK Master Cylinder is spec'd out to Yamaha Standards, it uses different Threaded Banjo bolts, and different diameter Tubing and reservoir, then the Aftermarket Brembo MC's.
So, A New Reservoir &  Hose was installed and we replaced the Stock COURSE Single Banjo Bolt with a FINE Threaded DOUBLE when installing our SS Brake Lines.  This gave the Bike a Rock Solid Feel.  You cannot Beat it.

Ohlins Steering Damper Kit 
   Anyone who has an R1, and rides it more then a few miles, knows the Stock Damper is Crap.  So, we had to pull that off, and put a
Ohlins Stock Mtn. Replacement on there.  Because it's OEM Mtn. there is less Mtn. Hardware, which means, less expensive.
And you can easily adjust it, on the fly.  Yet, it's out of the way, and less chance to get stolen off your bike.

Galfer Stainless Steel Brake Lines         
   These are a no brainer.  The Stock brakes are great.  But, with SS Lines installed they are off the chart.
  When you squeeze your brake lever a large part of the force goes into the Rubber lines, and expands them.
  This takes away the Total pressure applied to you Caliper Pistons.   Thus, you lose stopping Power.
 With Stainless Steel Braided Lines, nearly ALL the force goes into the Calipers. 
Giving you the most stopping power.   Put it this way.  It can mean the difference between running into the back of the car that just pulled out in front of you  OR    Stopping 10 Feet Short.    SS Lines are DUAL Line Off the Master Cylinder for More Even Distribution of Brake Fluid.  And Better Stopping Power.  These are A Must Have for us.

 DYNO JET - WIDE BAND COMMANDER  -  
Wide Band Commander Dyno's Work Great to get a Good Base Map in your Power Commander.  But, they don't take into effect RAM AIR.  Plus, they are very expensive.  These Days, they can be as much as $300 - $400.  For about the same price, you can    Purchase a Wide Band Commander, and do it yourself.   So, you know it's done right.  And go back and make changes if  necessary.
Since we want to  get the Absolute Most HP out of our Bikes, we are going to install the Wide Band Commander which Will allow us to get the perfect map for our Bikes. These are very trick
A/F monitors that use a Bosche Wide Band O2 Sensor  to measure REAL Time, accurate A/F measurements On the Road.  It's stores the information, so when you get back to  Your house, you can download the information to your computer and adjust your PCIIIusb map accordingly.  Best of all the Akrapovic Evo already have a Bungle welded on the System for the Wideband Sensor.  So, you don't have to do anything, except screw it in.  No Welding required.  Very Sweet.

Fender Eliminator Kit 
   We couldn't stand all that ugly plastic hanging down from that Beautiful Tail Section.  So, it had to go.
   In place is this very Trick Fender Eliminator Kit.  Yea, it's a little pricey... compare to the Cheap Knock-Offs.
 
But, you get what you pay for.  If you think your $11,000 R1 is only worth a $25 piece of plastic, that looks like Crap. 
Then get a knock of.  But, We take pride in our bikes.  So, we get the BEST.  And the Comp. Werkes FE Kits are the BEST.

ery well worth the money, when you see  The end result.  There are 2 Kits available One that mtns. in the Back, or One that mtns. above the Rear Fender.   We chose the one that mtns. on top of the Rear Fender.  Straight Bolt-on.  Just two Small holes need to be made to get the Turn Signal Wires, and the LED Tag Light inside.

   The Stock Front Signals are ugly. That is an understatement.  So, they got removed.  And we installed these Very Cool Comp. Werkes LED Front Signals.  They are OEM Fit and take about 2 min. to install.  best of all they come with OEM Connectors as well.

HYPER WHITE XENON BULBS     
The Hyper White Plazma Bulbs put extra Wattage and Illumination on the  Road is a Must Have.  Not only are these Bulbs brighter than stock, they have a Bluish/White Hue, similar to the New BMW & Mercedes Lights.  This makes for more definition on the road surface at night.  They also look very cool.  The R1 takes (4) H7 Bulbs.   We have sold these for 04-07 R1 for over 4 years, with NO Problems.  So, no worries about the extra wattage.  The Amp Draw is almost the same as stock, and THAT is what makes them safe.
