Bikemaster Tru Gell cell Batteries have new technology has been
in development for years. Exhaustive testing of many, many, formulations of gel
and additives, even plate fabrication, resulting in the most advanced Hybrid
battery, and the development of NANO GEL. It's not "snake oil", or marketing...
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries are the ultimate iteration of Powersports battery
technology... Period!
So, what is a BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell battery? What most folks don't know is... It is
an ADVANCED AGM battery! With the exception that instead of evaporation and
precipitation prone water based electrolyte, it uses a proprietary formulation
of Gel and stabilizer chemicals. This gives the BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell Batteries
performance other manufacturers can only dream about...
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries meet AND excee the SAE and
JIS standards for batteries in motorcycles... PERIOD. Therefore, they exceed
industry standards!
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries are more tolerant of overcharging, AND of higher
voltages. In fact, BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries charge better at higher voltages
of modern motorcycles. But don't expect to get normal reading with a "Standard
Battery Tester". This technology is just too new, and due to the differences in
internal resistance and construction, Tru Gell Cell batteries will show false and
inconsistent readings on a Standard Tester.
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries don't need special chargers. But like ALL
Powersports batteries, they shouldn't be put on Automotive battery chargers,
which just put too many amps into motorcycle batteries. ALL of the Motorcycle
Specific battery chargers will charge a BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell just fine.
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries actually OUTPERFORM standard WET BATTERIES in both
high and low temperatures. In fact, in factory testing our BikeMaster Tru
Gell Cell
batteries performed all the way down to -40°, when the Wet Battery wouldn't work
at all! And in hot temperatures, the fact that the gel doesn't evaporate like
water, means that the BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell battery will survive longer in that
environment.
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries have an ABS case just like
helmets and motorcycle bodywork, precisely because it is thermally stable and
has excellent impact resistance. ABS also has advantages in heat transfer which
means your battery internals stay cooler in summer, and loose less of it's
internal heat in cold weather. Poly is also a good material, as it's cheaper,
but Tru Gell Cell chose the more expensive alternative to offer customers the best
available technology.
BikeMaster Tru Gell Cell batteries have the advantage in that,
IF the case ever did crack from abuse, the battery would still get you home!
This is because the gel inside the Tru Gell Cell batteries is really a SOLID GEL, which
won't leak out like the water from Wet Batteries.
For most of the customers in the US market who ride
infrequently (the average in the US is 1,500 to 2,000 miles per year), with long
periods of inactivity, this battery will be a HUGE BENEFIT! Imagine walking over
to your bike after you haven't ridden it for 6 months, and having it start!!!
